Cindy Sherman, Untitled Film Still #60, 1980; gelatin silver print, 40 x 30 inches; Collection of the Enid and Crosby Kemper Collection L2008.4

Describe at least one piece in detail and tell me how it made you feel. why did you find it interesting?
A) when i looked at this picture and seen this kid or teenage boy standing in like an alley with a cigarette in his mouth and the houses look horrible. I felt bad for the kid because it made me feel like maybe he grew up without a mom or without a dad and he doesn't know how to raise himself since he hasn't been taught.

Artist's name: Cindy Sherman

name of artwork piece: make it strange

object type, size, and materials/finish: the object type is a painting, the size is medium, and the materials they could have used to make this is paint, paint brush, pencils, a visualize sight to see maybe how to paint it and the more descriptive parts in the painting.

what design elements/principles are used?
A) the color that is used is pretty basic black and white and there is also a little bit of gray in there, and the shapes i see that are used is rectangle because there is a building be used in the painting. it also kind of looks like it is coming from light to dark.

how well crafted is it? how can you tell?
A) this piece is crafted together pretty well from my point of view, i feel like it is put to together good because it shows the color and the color is a huge part because if it black, white, and gray like this one is you can kind of tell that they are trying to make it look a little older. Also making it look like its coming from the light to the dark makes the painting more interesting.

what can you tell me about the artist?
A) Born january 19, 1954 in New Jersey. is an american photographer and film director. she began as a painter in college she was very good at copying things then she realized why copy when i can use my own camera and create and paint what i see from my own eye.

what do you think the artists intent was? why do you think that?
A) i think the authors intent was to show that maybe if you do grow up without a mom or dad things can be rough growing up and it makes you look at life at a different prespective.

How do the art work you discovered correlate to your book, historical event, and/or universal truth?
A) this picture relates to my universal truth becasue mine is the decisions you make as a child can determine you destenation as an adult and in this picture as a child he could have done some bad or wrong things that have led him to where he is at now which looks like a bad place.
