Have you ever been forced to do something with an older guy or tell on your friends so they would get in the same amount or more trouble than you. These two books will teach you bravery and how to never back down.

Throughout my fiction book "Sold" it is very interesting. My Character's actions are good and bad, they are good because she wanted to take the job upon herself and go work for the family, earn money, and send it back to the family. She thought it was going to be a good house when she first arrived but a man showed up, the owner, tried to get her to do things with the guy she didn't know what to do. She bit him, and ran but she couldn't go anywhere. Come to find out, she got sold into prostitution when she thought she was going to a good place to earn money for her family. Instead she was sold into a place where men want to have pleasure by just paying a certain amount of money. She never backed down from the man; she stood up for what she knew was right and escaped from him when he tried to force her to do stuff. In my non-fiction book "Prisoner Of Tehran" she was a young teenager who lived with her mom she was against what the government was doing and ended up going to prison at the age of 16 she was so scared of what was going to happen but she never backed down from anybody she stood up to the guards.

In my fiction book "Sold", the theme of this piece is to be brave. Never give into anything that doesn't seem or feel right to you. When she first got sold into the house, she was forced by the owner to do stuff with an adult. She didn't know what to do when he was trying to force himself in between her legs (McCormick 103). She was moving around trying to escape, but she couldn't get loose because of all the pressure he was putting on her. She bit down on his lip when he was trying to force his tongue in her mouth (McCormick 104) and escaped from him. She didn't back down from the man or the owner; the owner was very rude and aggressive with her. She grabbed her by her hair and drug her across the room (McCormick 103). In my non-fiction book "Prisoner Of Tehran" the theme of this piece is to never tell anyone your friends name that would get them in trouble if you wouldn't want them to do it to you. In this story they beat the girls feet every time she didn't tell the prison guards her friends name, who did the same thing she did. She took the beatings and never backed down. Her feet were purple, blue, and swollen because they beat her feet until she confessed but they gave up because she never told on her friends. She took the beating and never backed down from the prison guards who tried to force her to tell on her friends. They would end up in the same prison as her and maybe get treated worse then what she got treated. In my fiction book "Sold" the resolution is very good. She went through a lot of stuff for her family; at first she thought she was going somewhere to earn money for her family then she found out she got sold into prostitution. She did everything she could to not get involved in the sex life but the house she was in was all that the adults did. They would come in and pay the owner, find a girl, and do what they wanted with them but she never did anything with a guy without a fight. What they had to do was make her drink stuff that made her not know where she was at and that's how guys got what they wanted from her. There was one time she was being raped and she heard cries and when the guy finished she found out that it was her that was crying the whole time (McCormick 121). She had to pay off debts before she could go home and she did what she had to do pay off all her debts and made it home to her family. She made it home from a guy who was against what the owner mumtaz was doing. He came to save girls from houses like that and Lakskmi was the one to get saved from that horrible place and make it back home.

In my non-fiction book "Prisoner Of Tehran", the resolution is good. She went to a prison at the age of 16 and was beat, forced to snitch, but never did. She held her own in that prison at the age of 16. The guards were cruel and rude; they whipped her feet until they were blue, purple, and swollen. They did this so she would tell the prison guards her friends name but it didn't work. She didn't tell the guards anybody's name so she pretty much took the pain and the beating for her friends. She didn't want her friends to take the same beating she took or get worse than what she got. She met a man named Ali who helped her the entire time when she was in prison, he got her out of beatings. They always had meetings on when to get married. The prison was horrible for her; she had nightmares and she always had flashbacks of the good times she had when she was at home or going to get books from Albert at the book store. When she finally got out of prison she never had flashbacks of that because the prison was horrible. Sometimes she couldn't sleep; she would hear gun shots and that's when she knew somebody just died. Some people got sentenced to life in prison and that's when they got shot instead of living the whole life sentence. She ended up going home on her wedding day, July 23, 1982 (Nemat 197). She ended up getting married to Ali who helped her the entire way through prison. She was released early, and she lived a happy life after prison with her family and never looked back on the bad days she had in that horrible place. She also made something of herself when she was released from prison. I also saw this happen in the article "Sex Trafficking". She was put into sex trafficking and was raped at a young age. She did everything she could to escape and make something with her life and is now very famous for the books she has written.

Through all of these books I have learned to always protect yourself from everything. Never give in on anything if it doesn't feel or seem right; always believe in what you think is right. I also learned to never tell your friend's business to anybody else if you wouldn't want them to do it to you, if they were in the same situation as you. These stories taught me a lot.
